Entertainment Complex On World’s Most Revolutionary Ship Introduces New Venues, Giving Guests More Choices

The curtain has been raised on another neighbourhood aboard Oasis of the Seas, Royal Caribbean International’s newest and highly anticipated ship set to launch in November 2009. Entertainment Place, a complex of diverse entertainment venues, is one of seven neighbourhoods on the world’s largest and most revolutionary cruise ship – a unique concept providing holidaymakers with the opportunity to seek out relevant experiences based on their personal style, preference or mood. Previously announced neighbourhoods include, Central Park, Boardwalk, the Royal Promenade, the Pool and Sports Zone, and the Vitality at Sea Spa and Fitness Center.

Oceal Village still won't offer seven-night cruises

 

Source: TTG: Ocean Village will not offer shorter seven-night cruises in the Caribbean next year but insists its longer cruises continue to offer the value for money people are looking for.

Cruises are cheaper than 10 years ago

 

P&O Cruises has claimed cruises are now more affordable than they were a decade ago.

The line said a two-week cruise this summer in an ocean-view cabin had been selling for about £1,579 per person. But it said the same holiday 10 years ago would have cost £2,520.

MSC Cruises announces two new orders

At a press conference today in Milan, Italy, Pierfrancesco Vago, CEO of MSC Cruises announced a further expansion of the MSC Cruises fleet with the order of two new ships from the Aker Yards France in St Nazaire.

Windstar Cruises wins Best Small Ships category

 

Windstar Cruises, which operates a three-ship fleet of deluxe motor sail yachts carrying just 148 to 312 guests and cruising throughout Europe, the Caribbean and the Americas, has won the ‘best small ship’ category in the Condé Nast Traveller 10th Annual Readers’ Travel Awards 2008.

Holland America Line returns to Bermuda!

 

Holland America Line has just announced a cruise programme from New York to Bermuda in 2010 and 2011 onboard the intimate Veendam, which is small enough to navigate the channels into St George’s and Hamilton. Prices will be available shortly and the programme is expected to go on sale in January 2009!

Celebrity Cruises wins Best Large Ship Cruise Line

 

Celebrity Cruises is delighted to announce that its ships have been recognised by the Cond� Nast Traveller Readers’ Awards 2008 as the best cruise line in the large ships category.

Celebrity Cruises was highlighted as scoring top marks out of all cruise lines, with sister brand Royal Caribbean International also coming in the top five voted cruise lines.
